The ability to implement new algorithms in ANSYS provides a way to add functionality while using functional interface and a wide range of powerful solvers. Such enhancement of ANSYS enables us to study not implemented in ANSYS mechanical models. The solution of static linear elastic problems in ANSYS is considered. Such problems arise in earthquake engineering. This paper outlines the ability to implement the solution algorithm for considered problems in ANSYS using superelement approach.
