The assessment in the course of vocational training of future elementary school teachers: strive for effective ways

The study reviews the approved ways of conducting the ongoing and interim monitoring, midterm examination of students in the modular training of a subject in regard to a system- and activity-based approach. By a case study of a course in Research Activity in Educational Institutions of the Region, the author describes the specific nature of assignments and their content as well as the approaches to assessing the academic achievements. Training conference, business game, mind maps, the creation of a collective creative electronic product are presented in the article as effective ways to monitor the student progress in the course of training of future elementary school teachers. Assessment as a component of the teacher’s vocational training should take into account the educational needs and personal features of modern students, take advantage of the possibilities of the changed informational and educational environment, provide mastering the assessment techniques which future teachers can apply in their professional activity.
