В статье впервые рассматриваются корабельные сообщества самой отдаленной периферии Латинской Романии в условиях глобального кризиса XIV в., анализируются массивы нотариальных актов Кафы 1343-1344, 1371, 1381-1382 и 1394-1395 гг., привлекаются свод римского гражданского права Юстиниана, базы данных греческих имен и топонимов, ЭБД Tabula Imperii Byzantini, граффити греческих моряков, выявляются весьма существенные изменения в деятельности корабельных сообществ - увеличение роли греков в качестве патронов судов; появление женщин среди судовладельцев, что было невозможно в предшествующие столетия; плавание судов без владельцев; возможности реализации жизненной судьбы греческого рыбака и др. В качестве метода исследования используется кейс стади; рассмотрены кейсы - «корабль под женским попечительством», «женский корабль», «понтийский корабль», «корабль без владельца», «достояние рыбака».
