The free light chain assay (FLC) is a highly sensitive, fast, and relatively simple diagnostic test for multiple myeloma (MM). Many studies have shown the prognostic and diagnostic value of determining the concentrations and ratios of FLC. In our study, we have undertaken to study the correlations of FLC values and their relationship with other immunological and biochemical parameters in patients with MM. The study included 56 patients. Groups of patients with IgG (n=36), Bence-Jones (Bj) (n=12) and IgA (n=8) MM were analyzed. The values and reliability of correlations of parameters of total protein (TP), immunoglobulins of 3 main classes (IgG, IgA, IgM), β2-microglobulin (β2M), C-reactive protein (CRP), concentration and isotype of paraprotein (PIg), free light chains, κ and λ (FLC), κ/λ ratios were determined. In patients with IgG MM, there were significant correlations between TP and IgG (R 0.60; p
