The correlation study of parental tolerance

The relevance of the study on parental tolerance is explained by the fact that it is a resource to prevent child abuse and increase the quality of children’s education and the level of the family’s well-being in general. Therefore, it is important to understand this phenomenon as a factor in the development of the child’s personality. The psychological structure of parental tolerance was studied in a sample of 105 families having children aged 5-10 by means of six techniques. The correlation study results confirmed the original model of the psychological structure of parental tolerance as an integral unity of three components (cognitive, emotional and behavioral ones). The research identified its core components and elements which had an impact on the effectiveness of family education. The leading manifestations of the parental intolerance were determined, the relationship between the parental tolerance and the child’s personality development was established.
