The article examines a series of articles by Olga Novikova, as well as William Stead in her translation, published in the conservative journal Russian Review in 1890– 1893 and occasionally in 1894 and 1896 under the titles “Letters from London”, “Letters about England”, and “Letters from England”. The article analyzes Olga Novikova’s relations with the publishers and editors of the “Russkoe Obozrenie” journal, which made it possible to organize this series of articles aimed at familiarizing Russian public opinion with the moods and events in British society. Several key topics are highlighted, which in turn became the center of attention for Novikova’s circle.
