One of the effective indicators of the formation of cadets’ competencies in the process of training in general technical disciplines is testing. In this regard, the content of the concept of «pedagogical test», «criterion-oriented test» is revealed. The article provides examplesof indicators of achievement of competencies and descriptors. The principles of content selection, form, structure of test tasks for PG and IG, EiE, Mechanics are highlighted. Examples of test tasks of various types are given, which make it possible to increase the effectiveness of training cadets in general technical disciplines.
