The problem of correlation of culture and civilization is analyzed by the author in a dichotomous tradition that originates from cultural-philosophical concepts of O. Spengler and N. Berdyaev. Civilization is described as a technological space of culture, derived from its sacred basis, inextricably connected with its metaphysical foundation, but happens to be found as the methods and instruments of cultural activity, that is, technology. As an example of one of the processing methods of the formation of modern civilization identity, a technique, known as "Overton window", created in the field of political technologies, is taken, and now effectively used in a wide social and cultural space. The principle of "window technology" and its ability to transform the modern axiosphere is reviewed in this article. The conclusion is that technologization of social and cultural processes associated with the industrial character of the contemporary culture itself, which in turn corresponds to the inner logic of cultural architectonics.
