Lexico-semantic groups of nouns in the context of animation-inanimation in Mordvin and Mari languages (component analysis)

The most important direction of renovation in the system of higher education is the enhancement in it a native regional content component especially with regard to the study of native language. The author of the article turns her attention to the problem of insufficient study of the category «animation-inanimation» in Mordvin and Mari languages in view of the requirements of contemporary linguistics. Applying component analysis to nouns in the named languages the author singles out two basic groups: «the absolute animate» and «the absolute inanimate» with a row of the intermediate nouns. The features of each group are considered on ontological, gnoseological and linguistic levels.
