The interpretation of the art phenomenon or work of art becomes some kind of a criterion in exploration of the art culture space - both as an explanation of an interpretation made by other person, and creation one’s own. The ability to interpret exists in consciousness of a person who is learning the world. Besides, a basic possibility of many interpretations (polysemy) makes up the essential part of works of art. The purpose of the activities focused on training an interpretation skills of the literary text can be described as follows: 1) to activate the process of emotional intelligence of works of art; 2) to promote the mastering of language bases of different types of art; 3) to give an idea of types of interpretation of a composition, to point out their features; 4) during the creative activity, develop pupils’ interpretative skills of creating reader's interpretation of a composition, as well as enrich them with the acquired experience of dealing with works of different types of art. As a result of this training pupils must acquire the following skills: 1) interpreting a work of art taking into account the art form it belongs to; 2) making creative interpretations of a literary work of different types and genres; 3) analyzing their own creative works and works of their schoolmates; 4) distinguishing the creative interpretation of a work and the voluntary interpretation of a composition. The article describes the experimental activities focused on developing different types of interpretative activities among youngsters.
