The article deals with the personal names of the Khori-Buryats, recorded in the documents of the State Archives of Zabaikalsky Krai. The materials of the revision tale of 1850 contains a personal list of nomadic national minorities of the Khorinsky Steppe Duma of the Irkutsk province of the Verkhneudinsky District of the Khorinsky Department of the Galzot / Galzut clan with 789 historical anthroponyms of the heads of families. The relevance of this issue is due to the development of the modern theory of historical anthroponymy. One of the tasks of the research of the name list is a preliminary description, clarification of the meanings of anthroponyms, their origin and history of formation. Personal names in pre-revolutionary documents preserve the cultural memory of the people, help to restore the genealogical tree. Buddhism had a huge impact on the formation of the Buryat anthroponymy, borrowed names from the Tibetan and Sanskrit languages were no longer recognized as foreign languages, organically entered the lexical composition of the Buryat language. The influence of the Russian language in the anthroponyms of the Buryats is revealed
