Linguistic features of environmental discourse produced by state bodies and nature protection organizations

This article provides a comparative analysis of two types of English-language environmental discourse, produced by state bodies and nature protection organizations, identifying their similarities and differences at the lexical, syntactic, stylistic levels of the language. The characteristics of these types of discourse diverge under the influence of pragmatics: the impersonality of the state discourse is contrasted with the personality-oriented nature of the discourse produced by nature protection organizations.
