Linguistic and cultural analysis of the English phraseological units with the component anthroponym (the sphere of sports)

The article deals with the English phraseological units with the component anthroponym based on the lexicographical sources of the sports theme. There is suggested the linguistic and cultural analysis of the chosen phraseological units. There are drawn the parallels between the phraseological units and the geographical objects. There is analyzed the structural content of the anthroponymic components of the studied the phraseological units. The author gives the classification and concludes about the frequency structural types.
