Lingvo-methodical problems of learning Russian participles at the lessons of Russian as a foreign language

The study reviews the question of optimization the learning of participles in the course of Russian as a foreign language, namely the terms, the sequence and the forms of presenting participles in groups of students in technical education. The special attention is given to the unique qualities of this part of the speech that are resulting from its hybrid nature and which are difficult to understand for non-russian speaking students. The paper concludes that the methodical problems of learning the Russian participles are derived from the grammatical complexity of this part of speech that is reflected in the complexity of such grammatical categories as declension, aspect, time, voice, in conjunction with such syntax categories as agreement, coordination, synonymy, active or passive sentences construction. The study provides advice for beginner teachers on how to work on materials about participles at the different stages of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
