Бесплатный доступ

The paper is an attempt to analyze language means used to express the categories of time and space (chronotop) in modern Northern Irish novels which reflect the subject of the Troubles. The novels under analysis are «Where They Were Missed » by Lucy Caldwell, «No Bones» by Anna Burns and «That Which Was» by Glenn Patterson. The authors resort to linguopoetic method – a combination of literary and linguostylistic methods – for analyzing the above categories. The paper demonstrates that chronotop category expressed by linguistic means as well compositional features of the novels allows to create the unique space and temporal background in above novels.
