The article is devoted to analyze a poem "Ivory ostrich sings..." by M.Kuzmin in the context of English culture. The interpretation of a theme of a fan allows to describe feelings for a friend Yu.Yurkun. The range of motifs, images and realities English (O.Beardsley) and French culture (T.Gote, S.Mallarme) allow to transfer personal experiences in the context of aestheticism and decadence of the late XIX century, and translate them in Art Nouveau.
