The article deals with the logic of designing and carrying out of research projects with students in the educational institution. The stages of the research project are justified. The success of this type of activity depends on the correct choice of a topic and the possibility to prove it. The authors analyse the process of how to set goals and objectives, what methods to use. The logic of research projects also includes a process of designing of the work done.
