Mathematical modeling of time series of crimes in Russia

An attempt is made to find a type of functional relationship between the number of crimes in Russia and the time factor. The regression analysis uses the most well-known functions used in economics and biology. As a result of the study the most accurate description of the actual number of crimes in the Russian Federation is obtained in the spline model with DeMarco points.
