Young people as a social group shape social norms and attitudes toward traditional values that determine the future of the family institution. The article examines the influence of television, as a classic media, on the formation of the image of the family in the minds of young people. The study examines television projects popular with young people that broadcast various models and images of families. A comparison of the total broadcast model of the family with real trends in the institution of the family in Russia is given
