Media education as a way for students to achieve creative self-efficacy

Media education is viewed in this article as a pedagogical process ensuring students learn the laws and rules of the mass communication system. The aim of the study is to identify possible ways of creative self-efficacy of students in higher education. The educational process at the university involves a significant amount of student independent work. Examining students’ current levels of media literacy and self-efficacy will help identify opportunities to improve their skills in this area. Media education promotes media literacy in an audience that gives people the tools to understand the role of media texts in daily life - helping students’ intellectual development, mass communication, and learning the world in its various social variations. The tasks of media education include ethical, aesthetic, cognitive, and emotional analysis of media information. In general, it is an indicator of the development of society's information culture.
