On the basis of the analysis of the functions of the teacher recorded in the professional Teacher standard changes of requirements to qualification characteristics of the modern teacher in the conditions of multiculturalism are revealed. Use of media educational technologies as instrument of formation of the ethnopedagogical competence conforming to these requirements is proved. Recommendations about a technique of use of documentary and feature films are made, and also their list is offered.
