The paper discusses the principles of increasing the efficiency of service enterprise activities based on team management mechanisms. The service enterprise is considered as an environment where the social and psychological development of various effects of intra-group interaction between employees takes place. The key role of the leader and the team he has chosen is emphasized when improving the efficiency of the service enterprise. The paper elaborates on the aspects of effective management of a service enterprise. They include team management (definition of core professional competences of managers, their recruitment, adaptation and training for teamwork), psychological compatibility of team members, worldview compatibility of team members with a leader, creating a favourable social and psychological climate in a team that has a business focus.
