This article discusses ways of improvement organizational and economic mechanism to achieve main strategic goals of the rocket and space industry today. The authors pay special attention to increasing the efficiency of budget expenditures and achieving a higher impact of space activities onto the national economy as a whole. The variants of the optimization of the budget process are given, the principles of tax incentives for the industry, as well as the feasibility of public-private partnership are considered.
