Metaphoric naming units of the chemical substances as the means of the visualization of the chemical structure and the cognitive modeling in the English chemical discourse

The article deals with the results of the linguocognitive research of the metaphoric naming units of the chemical substances. There is considered a new kind of the metaphor in the chemical discourse. There are revealed the specific features of the conceptual and semiotic metaphors. The author uncovers their difference from the conceptual metaphors supported by the theory of the conceptual metaphor.
