Metacognitive components of resilience

The article provides a rationale for the existence of metacognitive components of resilience. Resilience is considered as a psychological resource aimed at overcoming difficult life circumstances. Metacognitive components of stress coping strategies are discussed. The metacognitive orientation of self-efficacy is assumed, and its positive connection with the “control” component is emphasized. The metacognitive function of reflection, its influence on resilience and its components are analyzed. The results of foreign studies of metacognitive components and personality stability are presented. Prospects for integrating metacognition and resilience are presented to expand the potential of the individual and maintain psychological well-being.
