The method of conceptual integration in the analysis of concepts of the Cultic Milieu: on the example of mantle practices

Folk primitive beliefs that are not associated with any religious tradition are usually not included in the area of interest of serious research. As a rule, the reflection of the scientific community on the phenomenon of superstitious beliefs is limited to the research of ethnologists, folklorists and anthropologists. Within the framework of theological issues, this phenomenon is usually demarcated by confessional approaches with a predominance of evaluative characteristics. Nevertheless, the wide demand and vitality of these practices and beliefs in the diachronic perspective remains a white spot and to some extent a mystery to the scientific community. In the volume of superstitions and prejudices of modern man of the technogenic era, the beliefs and practices of predictions that accompany human society for many millennia stand out. The subject for research was modern prediction practices and their ancient counterparts. This article shows the mechanism for broadcasting elements of the cult environment that have lost their religious content (meanings) and have transformed into cultural phenomena, where these meanings latently continue to be interpreted within the framework of cult innovation. The text of the article presents elements of the methodology that make it possible to distinguish mytho- magical components in their religious significance from the field of folklore and sociocultural heritage. As a result, the author came to the conclusion: the tradition of mythological thinking continues to generate variants of ancient prediction practices in its updated forms due to the inclusion in the concepts of modern ideas from the field of natural science.
