Methodological aspects and innovative approaches to provide graduate training quality in the USA and Russia

The fact that Bologna process caused changes in the Russian higher education is discussed. It is noted that reform transferred the Russian higher schools to the Bachelor-Master two level system. A comparative analysis of the two levels in the education systems of the these countries based on the experiences of the Russian teachers trained in different US universities is carried out. The focus id made on the teaching methods and assessment. Some innovative approaches the provide education quality in American universities are outlined. Arguments that reforms in the Russian education system are still not nished and need to be improved are presented.
