The article considers methodological provisions and factors of management of imbalance between target characteristics of development with the use of a special mechanism, interrelation of laws, principles and methods of mechanism formation. Lifecycle of imbalance is given in the context of the law of self-preservation. Basic model of the mechanism and the scheme of factors of influence on a condition of a sustainable development of industrial enterprise are proposed.
