Procedures of learning activity of middle school students with quantified texts studying geography

The authors discuss the procedures of educational activities of students when working with quantified texts in the process of studying geography in a primary school. Examples of new methodological techniques used by the authors of modern geography textbooks are given. Their systematization has been carried out on the basis of the types of cognitive universal educational activities. The subject and meta-subject learning outcomes are determined, due to the use of the proposed methods in accordance with the requirements for the implementation of the system-activity approach. The authors consider the meaning and problem of understanding the educational text by students in a broad historical perspective, highlight the difficulties and causes of misunderstanding of textbook texts, characterize the structure and properties of educational texts, identify groups of methods for quantizing educational texts and give examples of their use in educational activities in order to form cognitive and practical experience.
