Text tasks are effective tools for students to learn mathematical terms and concepts. They play a huge role in the development of their thinking, in the formation of skills and practical application of mathematics. However, the results of the Unified State Exam show that modern schoolchildren do not like and do not know how to solve text problems. Teachers of mathematics, being aware of the role of various methods of solving text problems in the development of students' thinking, still do not use them fully in teaching the school course of mathematics, since they themselves do not possess the necessary knowledge and skills. This circumstance determines the relevance of teaching future teachers of mathematics to solve text problems. The main aim of this article is to study information related to the methods of solving text problems in mathematics classes related to the project work organization. In this regard, the author considers the main stages of solving text problems, the purpose of which is to form the skills of independent work, as well as to improve communication skills.
