Application methodology of pedagogical cases in teaching technical university students (empirical study)

The article dwells upon the development of application methodology of pedagogical cases as a relatively new and sufficiently effective interactive method of teaching in technical universities. The analysis of the case method use in the historical aspect through the coverage of advanced scientific works of foreign and domestic authors who used cases in various areas of training. Particular emphasis is placed on the fact that the use of innovative methods that allow to connect the fundamental science and theory of higher education with practice is especially important nowadays, because it is a high level of competence and relevant competence profile of a graduate that is in high demand on the labor market. The method of using the case method in the process of pedagogical practice is proposed; the effectiveness of its use in the educational process of a technical university has been experimentally proved.
