Modern realities of social development implement requirements for the individual, including a high level of professionalism, readiness for self-improvement, and continuous education. Particular emphasis is placed on the level of development of the communicative qualities of the individual, which at the level of basic general and secondary general education is expressed in the Federal State Educational Standard, in which the personal, meta-subject and subjectresults of mastering educational programs are associated with the communicative competence of students. At the level of personal results, it is expected to form communicative competence in communication and in the interaction of schoolchildren in various types of activities, and at the level of meta-subject results - the formation of the ability to solve communicative problems using various speech strategies and means.The purpose of the article is to describe the methodological and technological aspects of teaching speech strategies to schoolchildren and to identify the most effective teaching methods. The main speech strategies in the context of developing communicative competence among school students and methods of teaching these strategies, in particular elevator pitch, “carousel”, “vortex groups” were described and filled with content.
