Background. Breast cancer is the leading cancer among women in most countries of the world. Modern possibilities of early diagnosis, success of drug therapy contribute to the transition from radical surgical treatment to organ-preserving and reconstructive-plastic surgeries. Successful organ-preserving treatment requires morphologically clean resection margins (> 2 mm from the tumor margin). Accurate assessment of the preoperative volume of the breast and the mass can determine the optimal type of surgery at the prehospital stage. The aim of the study is to compare the main methods of breast volumetry (anthropometric method, volumetry using mammography and MRI) and to find an optimal method with high accuracy and ease of use.
