To solve the task of investigating the peculiarities of interpersonal evaluation processes in a close social circle due to the professional position of police psychologists there were formed two groups consisting of thirty-two psychologists from territorial law enforcement agencies each, their work experience being from five to fifteen years. The method of T. Leary was used. It was revealed that in interpersonal evaluation of a police psychologist police psychologists with a high professional position in comparison with psychologists with a low professional position project such qualities as independence, friendliness and unselfishness. A police psychologist viewed as by law enforcement representatives is endued with qualities typical for a professional law enforcement group, that is dominance, confidence and persistence. Representatives of their professional group project the following professionally important qualities: amicability, flexibility, gentleness and sympathy. It is proved that the general image of a police psychologist in the process of interpersonal evaluation in the groups of psychologists under study have statistically significant differences in the evaluation of a police psychologist given by representatives of their own or another professional circle.
