Mythologizations of eschatological narratives about Gog and Magog as a way of discreditation and demonization of Russia

The article is dedicated to the problematic of the formation in the Western Christian area the practice of discreditation and demonization of Russia connected with using the myth-creating ways to the explication of eschatological biblical prophecies about Gog from the land Magog / about Gog and Magog. In the process of the disclosure of the article theme we give the argumentation about the absence of the foundation of the ideological images and clichés created in the frame of this practice that characterize Russia as a potentially dangerous evil-bringing State (Empire of the evil). The active use of these images in the frames of modern religious and secular areas with the goal of inciting Russophobian and eschatophobian tempers sets the task of the scientific refutation of their content among actual and important ones.
