The relevance of the research lies in the study of the educational potential of digital technologies in higher education, based on the requirements of educational policy. The authors of the article propose to consider the point-rating system as a pedagogical technology of students’ personal qualities development in higher education. The results of the study describe the distinctive features and structural components of the model of the point-rating system as a pedagogical technology of students’ personal qualities development on the basis of system and technological approaches, the principle of humanism priority, comparative analysis of scientific literature and the method of modeling.
