The model of forming the body image at students in the higher education

The process of forming the body image in modern education is considered. Psychological factors influencing on the structure of the body image in the higher education are disclosed. Social-cultural determinacy of forming the body image is substantiated. The peculiarities of forming the body image at students of the department of psychology of Samara State Academy of Social Sciences and Humanities are described. Modern educational standards of training psychologists specializing in the fields «Psychology» and «Pedagogy and psychology» are analyzed from the viewpoint of forming the body image. Psychological-pedagogical model of the forming the body image including special courses «Psychology of the Body» and «Body-Oriented Training» is described.
