The educational prevention model of victimization and violence against adolescents

The study describes the educational model preventing victimization of adolescents affected by violence which is implemented in the secondary school. This model has a multi-layered hierarchical structure consisting of the following units: goals and objectives; evaluation criteria; content; design and technology; evaluation and correction. The focus of the model is on the nonviolent interaction between victimized adolescents and adults. It involves pedagogical interaction providing effective cooperation without coercion and punishment. Its implementation demonstrated a positive effect because of the safe living and school environment created for minors and aimed at the personal development of victimized adolescents, the non-influence of victimization factors, as well as purposeful dealing with teachers and pedagogical education of parents. The model developed by the author to prevent victimization and violence against adolescents allows one to achieve the goal, meet the research challenges in an integrated manner, improve considerably the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of this process, and reduce the level of victimization of abused minors as well.
