The article presents the scientific justification of the model of development of Bachelors' of Education professional competence in the sphere of gender socialization of preschool age children. In the framework of the culturological approach the author considers the urgency and scientific relevance of the research problem. From the perspective of the system approach the author describes the structure of professional competence in the field of gender socialization. Basing upon the idea of student-centered teaching the author suggests the technology of its development in the course of Bachelor's Program in the higher education system. The empirical data of the research prove the adequacy of the developed model and the effectiveness of the technology of its development.
