The influence of Brownian motion and gravity on the growth rate of crystal has been analyzed on the base of the “described volume” hypothesis. It is established that the crystal has a critical size, at which the influence of intensity of Brownian motion rapidly disappears and it is replaced by the influence of mass forces.
