Modernization of the content of foreign language communication within the frame of the federal project “Professionalism”

The author views the issue of foreign language professional communication content for secondary vocational school students majoring in specialty “Mechanical engineering technology” modernization within the framework of the federal project “Professionalism”, that is aimed to tight involvement of students into the process of education thus reducing the period of mastering the professional basic educational program up to 40 %. The purpose of this study was to identify the subject and procedural deficiencies of the educational materials for this specialty and to develop an online course “English for Specific Purposes” for the digital platform “Moscow Area Digital College”. The author defines the possibilities of e-learning of language units and receptive types of speech activity using an online course and offers tasks and exercises for teaching productive types of speech activity to be used in a language class. Such a distinction makes it possible to meet the requirements defined for the discipline “English for Specific Purposes” in a shorter time and without loss of quality.
