Youth creative groups as the basis of scientific-research, design and inventive work of students

One type of scientific and research work of students in Russian higher institutions is students design groups. The authors analyze the experience of the societies of this type during the period prior to 1990, and give recommendations regarding the increase of their effectiveness under the conditions of contemporary market.
