The new film by Nikolai Dostal "The Monk and The demon" is a hymn of love to all around: to the world, to God, to man. Merry, mischievous story of a monk who became a Saint, based on hagiographic literature. Elements of wonderful correspond in the film to multiple sources of literature and Orthodox culture. The film by Nikolay Dostal is merry and heart-stirring, instructive and it is easy to watch it. He teaches to love. There is such an impression that the film crew created the movie in the same breath, so each actor, without exception, is on his own place. But the main merit, of course, belongs to Timofey Tribuntsev - the leading man. Both naivety, mischief, religiousness, fatigue, sanctity, belief and fight, and something that allows soul to worry and sympathize with the hero of the movie were combined. Conclusion. The Reverend Father does not know much: Latin, modern words, difficult philosophical maxims, is not politically correct, but he survived all trials within the walls of his monastery, and knows the most important: "Without the truth there is no reign, and there is no monastery". He knows exactly why he here, in this backwoods accepts all lost, orphaned and offended. To sow love, to change the world transforming it, to bear with dignity and humility the Word of God - this is the aim of the pastor from here to eternity.
