Monitoring educational library and information programs in the conditions of changes in regulation

The results of multidimensional monitoring of library and information programs are presented in the context of current changes in legal regulation associated with the approval of a professional standard and the development of 4th Federal State Educational Standard 4 mirroring structural transformations at the level of social institutions and at the micro level of human interactions interpersonal and intragroup. The social and professional requirements for modern library and information specialists have been analyzed. Based on the results of the study, trends have been identified that will have an impact on the library and information sphere in the medium term: active networking while maintaining the institutional organization of labor, strengthening the analytical and research functions of library and information specialists, and the simultaneous growth of the role of technological, humanitarian and soft skills. The current challenges and issues facing the university community are formulated currently.
