Monitoring of the development of academic meta-languages based on modular foreign language teaching in a multidisciplinary university

The article reveals the urgent problem of the development of students' metacognitive skills, due to the existing requirements of employers and educational standards: a modern graduate must demonstrate a high level of not only professional training, but also the development of communicative, managerial and digital skills. The analysis of scientific literature made it possible to identify the main components of metacognitive skills and indicators of their development in the process of learning a foreign language at a university. The technology of modular foreign language teaching served as the basis for the development of a structural and content model for monitoring the development of metacognitive skills, which includes introductory and corrective, professionally interactive, organizational, technological and control-prognostic blocks, within which a system of tasks has been developed that contribute to the development of metacognitive skills and allow monitoring their level of development throughout training according to the micromodules developed by the authors.
