During the Soviet period of the development of the Russian state, great attention was paid to the social sphere, the patronage movement was widespread, and corporate volunteering became widespread in the post-Soviet period. The article analyzes corporate volunteering in modern Dagestan society and the motivation for participation in it. The results of the author's sociological research show the lack of information in the public consciousness of the surveyed Dagestani population about the volunteer activities of the organization in which they work; the main information source about the volunteer and charitable activities of the company is official information. Respondents explain individual participation in corporate volunteerism by personal moral and religious beliefs. As a result, an analysis of the motivation for participation in corporate volunteering shows that respondents are poorly informed about volunteer activities and actions carried out at their place of work. The main sources are the decisions of the management of organizations and enterprises on holding certain actions.
