The article deals with the specific features of the motivational aspect in the process of teaching the Russian language as a foreign language in the context of the distance learning. There are revealed the basic components of motivation directed to the successful mastering the Russian language as a foreign language. The authors analyze some efficient forms and kinds of the tasks of the online format with consideration of the student-centered learning. There are considered the defined risks that appear in the process of online learning.
