Museum as a space for the formation of patriotism

The object of research in the article is regional museums as a space for the formation of patriotism. The logic of achieving the goal is to study the existing museums of Lugansk region, their expositions with a focus on the role of prominent personalities in the formation of culture in the region. The author provides examples using the creativity and civic position of gures who were born in Lugansk or lived here. The main task in this process is the formation of national identity, familiarisation with the origins of Russian culture and literature, as patriotic culture is the highest level of love for society, the people and the Motherland. The author focuses on the cognitive function of museums that contribute not only to patriotic education, but also to the development of aesthetic taste and artistic perception. Integrated work to attract citizens to get acquainted with the history of the region contributes to the formation of patriotic feelings, which are based on the memory of generations and love for their land. The proposed materials will help to organise complex work on the formation of patriotic feelings, using the gurative and artistic potential of museum pedagogy, taking into account that the museum space is also a location for cultural enlightenment of various spheres of art.
