The processes of informatization transforming the environment of professional activity of musicians determine the need for changes in the content of musical education connected with the use of digital educational resources and computer music technologies (CMT). The article considers methodological aspects of interpretation of the "musical sound" concept, which is widely discussed by musicians in the context of the wide use of computer music technologies in the music art and the system of modern music education.
