National-cultural specifiic character of auto-enthusiasts' jargon: regarding the ways of jargonisms formation

The Linguo-cultural aspect of researching the jargon in the automotive lexicon is based on the hypothesis that the importance of “automobile fragment” in the Russian language world view has particularly grown of late. Mass distribution of cars and growth of the number of car owners form the basis of our supposition. So language units under research happen to be widely known and actively used. The distribution of jargonisms into thematical groups is considered by the author as a way of presenting the nucleus of the world view fragment under study. The purpose of this article is to identify the most common ways of jargonisms-formation and the potential of the automotive lexicon in the expression of topical for motorists national-cultural and/or attitudinal meanings. At the first stage of research, the formal-semantic typology of jargonisms was considered, at the second stage the methods of linguistic - cultural analysis were used. As the result of research the author revealed that the most common ways of jargonisms-formation are metaphorization, phonetic mimicry, phonetic word play, which demonstrate linguistiс creativity of the jargon-speaker. In most cases the jargon units explored had national-cultural and attitudinal specifiс features.
